I didn't really know what to expect when I went to see this film, which is probably why I enjoyed it the way I did. I just knew that Colin Farrell was in it. I must admit I was quite impressed with Colin's acting chops on this one. The rest of the cast did an amazing job too. A crime drama, combined with lots of humour seemed a good mixture.

Ray, Colin's character is holed up in Bruges, Belgium after a difficult job, with a fellow hit man, Ken, Brendan Gleeson. Their views on how things should go begin to differ as they become used to to the life in the small city of Bruges. Whilst Ken enjoys the scenery, architecture and all the beauty, Ray has an interest in a lady he has met. Despite their differences, they form a special bond and friendship which bridges the gap.

I immensely enjoyed this indie film. Don't be fooled by the fact that it's independed and is some foreign flick, it delivers the goods.
