Ewan McGregor as Phillip & Jim Carrey as Steve
Jim Carrey teams up with Ewan McGregor on his latest film I Love You Phillip Morris. The film chronicles the ludicrous and intriguing tale of a man who couldn’t stay away from jail, committing different crimes and felonies for different reasons – mainly to be with a love of his life – for the most part of his life.
Ewan McGregor‘s unassuming and genuine performance was enjoyable. Jim Carrey on the other hand couldn’t step away from his very predictable physical comedy. Although the man the story is based upon was apparently no conservative, Carrey‘s acting was a bit over the top and you couldn’t separate him from some of the characters he has played before.
I Love You Phillip Morris opens at cinemas nationwide on the 09th of July 2010.
