Fresh off their glorious victory at the South African Music Awards this past weekend, Grammy Award-winning Soweto Gospel Choir continue to dazzle the world. They won in the newly created category, International Achievement, set to recognise our local artists’ global achievements and ability to penetrate the tough overseas music markets.

Soweto Gospel Choir have just added another achievement to their long list of growing achievement. The U.S. sport network ESPN has announced that they will be playing the choir’s music with their 2010 FIFA World Cup coverage. The network will use the music that was recorded and filmed in South Africa with the sports updates, interviews and all activities around their coverage of the soccer spectacle.
