The big winners for this year’s MTN South African Music Awards are my homeboys, Big Nuz. They scooped Best Kwaito Album prize, as well as the two mostly coveted awards, Song Of The Year and Best Album Of The Year.

It’s great to see the support from the industry, giving recognition and reward where it’s due. It’s even more touching to see that Durbanites have their homeboys’ backs (there was a massive campaign on social networks with Durban peeps lobbying for votes for the Song Of the Year gong for Big Nuz).
Congratulations to Tira and Big Nuz, they deserve the accolades. Their hard work and hustle has paid off. They must now just keep pushing. *singing* Lomlilo, owe Big Nuz. Lomlilo, uyashis’ ungaw’lokothi.
